"It's like the wind, the way it moves"

Good question  Good question        Supporting disabled people in school settings       Teaching assistant  GCSE music  Couldn't play a conventional music  There’s gotta be other people doing this – after she finished her qualification which is quite frustration  What do I do outside Drake  A variety of different things  2 year old boy  In a band  Write short stories  Like to keep my creative pursuits – taking a compromise  It's not exclusive  Prohibited  Not discouraging        Not stuck  Not without potential  EchoEchoEchoEchoEchoEchoEchoEchoEchoEchoEchoEchoEchoEchoEchoEchoEchoEchoEcho  Repeat a sound but has its own effect on it  C   o    n   cept     ual  A bit like the wind but it changes as it    O                                                        s      e                                                                                             around                 the environment                        I want something that acknowledges that I’m there                                       Not patronising            Acknowledges my presence  Comforting  A human condition  Maybe God..... Maybe..... affirmation.         Porrrrrrrrrrussssss               Pour us

"Textured Journeys"

Sent my CV to Tom  Almost 3 years ago  Do music as well  My own project  All female collective  ….. choir         I also teach Swedish.  All female collective  Deep Throat Choir – all female collective – we so some covers – second album – rehearse every week on RED days (mondays)  Deeeeep Inside  Bothers me Good questions  Sound of cutlery  Really really annoying  Calms me  Sound of the sea  Sound of the sea

Sound of the sea

Sound of the sea

I grew up by the sea I really like the sound of the sea Sound of the sea

Hold music  Something that changes so you don’t switch off.  Pattern that doesn’t repeat but the loop changes after two bars – what's this twist and turn  Something to throw you off keep you engaged  REDDDDDDDD  Red is in Drake  Mellow yellow – then it’s like REEEEEEEED – I feel it between my shoulder blades and let nothing fall apart.  Lunch break yellow or green  RED is frequent colour.  CAFÉ OTO – you don’t know what to expect it’s more like a soundscape  Investigating sound taking you on a journey rather than production

Exploring textures  I like Exploring textures  I like Exploring textures  I like Exploring textures  I like Exploring textures  I like Exploring textures  I like Exploring textures  I like Exploring textures  I like Exploring textures  I like Exploring textures  I like Exploring textures  I like Exploring textures  I like Exploring textures  I like Exploring textures  I like  There's something about the everyday and the mundane and the city is always throwing in different elements  It can be draining but it’s also what keeps me going  It's the fire that fuels me but kills me a little bit. PourusssssssSSSSSSSSS Thank you that was so much fun.

"It's quiet, it's very very quiet"  It’s quiet  Can be very very quiet  It’s quiet  It’s like a nirvana  The loud quiet thing  It's very quiet  And then it gets very loud  Nothing in between  Smells like teen spirit  Pop  Thumb pop  Silence  Cough  Loop – demented  I can tolerate a lot  – 2 to 3 seconds  If you can make it good it can be forever – if it’s the right thing  Pitch it half way between  Compress the hell out of itCompress the hell out of itCompress the hell out of it

"And Birdsong and forest and green"

It’s a long time ago Along time Along A long time I didn’t find Drake Music, I didn’t find D D d d d D d f d d somebody Somebody involved in Drake Music rung me and said there’s a job going - why don’t you apply?

Involved Involving Involve Evolve evolving Involved Evolving evolve wave Waving Evol Love Loving Lovingly lovely Enveloping Envelope Somebody involved in Drake Music rung me Rung Another rung WRUNG Up up the ladder up and up the ladder up and up the ladder and up the CEO the seeeee the seee what do you see up this rung? Rung up to see you See you up the rung Rung rung up

see I am in the sea Sea Waves And and said there’s a job going - why don’t you apply? The end of 2005 I’ve never heard of them why would I? Why would I Why would I would I wood be Wood trees wooden Wood would I don’t know I would never…. (Why would I apply? Why would I?) (Anyway) Talked to my then partner about her - (she names Drake - Drake is a woman - woman is a Drake - not Drake the rapper - Drake the wo -man. Wo-man Woooooah Wo,

Oh oh oh oh oh oh oh See what your market value is. I went and applied… and I got it. En A A E D A I had no idea. I had no no idea, I had no idea. I had no no idea, I had no idea. I had no no idea, I had no idea. I had no no idea, I had no idea. I had no no idea, it was not an area I’d worked in before. Area and curves - circles round and round and round - area - circumference I was on a very very very steep learning curve. (or a hill? Up a mountain, huh?) It’s not what it was in 2005, 6, 7, 8 which was a very very dysfunctional and backward looking organisation.(5, 6, 7, 8)

5 6 7 8 5 6 7 8 A e i o A e i o A B D E It’s not an organisation that supports a medical model

It’s not an organisation that doesn’t support

It’s not a place that stands still.

Cacophony of sounds Phony - phony - fake - this furry phone. Most unusual beautiful subtle extraordinary sound Jarring harder on the ear. That’s probably not so good for holding music. Too much going on - too much sound - overload I think about Birdsong, hearing the trees Anything to do with trees Not voices - voices are not calming They’re really nice questions because they make you think - well me. (lots of laughing) - music to cheer up? - gleeful - Pourous Movement - coming and going space, but not stable - not necessarily stable It’s exciting - but the word itself is negative Could be good It’s something good. (she breathes) exhales - laughs laughs Anyway this is really interesting. Porous Pourus Porous Pore Pouring Pore Pour Poor Holding on Holding Hold Hold hold hold holding on and on and on and holding Being held. Holding on to Holding inside Holding tightly on and clutching and being warm and holding you inside my cupped cupped hands

And hold hold old old is outside out there it’s disappearing fast, it’s out in the air landscape Pour on us, pouring over us pouring pour Pouring out of us Pouring into and out of and being inside of and outside of and being inside and outside and pouring pour us the skies are opening pour opening the skies pouring onto us pour the faces us of on and ruspo pourus rusty tint of pouring under and on a
